Sunita Jagani, OD earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham graduating with honors. She went on to earn Doctorate in Optometry from the UAB School of Optometry.

Dr. Jagani completed externships in several different modes of practice. She completed externship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. At Bascom Palmer, she treated and diagnosed patients with ocular disease and treatment with emphasis on diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. She also completed an externship and residency at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her residency was in hospital-based and geriatric eye care with emphasis on ocular disease pertaining to overall systematic health.

Today, Dr. Jagani performs comprehensive eye examinations, with special emphasis on eye disease such as glaucoma, cataracts and ocular pathology in the Huntsville area. She also comanages patients pre and post ocular surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Jagani likes to spend quality time with her husband and her family. She also enjoys reading, hiking, biking, and tennis. She is also a member of the Junior League of Huntsville and participates in volunteering opportunities in Huntsville/ Madison area.
