Your First Visit
Laser Eye Center
At Laser Eye Center, your comfort and safety are important to us, and we want you to feel welcome from the moment you step into our office. Rest assured, we will do everything that we can to help you feel comfortable, from diagnosis to recovery. The following set of guidelines will help guarantee that you are fully prepared for your first visit, so you can confidently move forward with your treatment.
How to Prepare
We believe that patients can get the most out of their care when they are well-prepared and well-educated. Properly preparing for your initial consultation will ensure that the appointment runs smoothly, all of your questions and concerns are addressed, and that there will be no unwelcome surprises. Before visiting us, there are several things you can do that will enable you to take full advantage of your time in our office. This includes:
- Gather your health records and medical history information
- Verify your insurance coverage
- Prepare a list of questions to ask during your appointment
- Consider the topics you would like to discuss with Lee including your personal goals
What to Expect
Your first visit is an opportunity not only to receive superb treatment, but to get to know Dr. Lee and his staff. We want our patients to view their surgical care as an experience, not a simple exchange of services, and encourage you to ask questions.
During your first consultation, Dr. Lee will take the time to discuss your specific goals, as well as address any questions or concerns you may have regarding treatment. It is important to be honest and open about your questions and concerns in order to allow Dr . Lee to provide care that will suit your needs and wants.
He will also review your health records to determine your eligibility for treatment.
After this initial examination, Dr. Lee will discuss all of your treatment options, as well as the risks and benefits of each, so that you can make an informed decision regarding your health and vision. By working together, you and Dr. Lee can create an effective, customized treatment plan that will help you obtain the vision you desire. We ask that you schedule your appointment at a time that is convenient for you, so we can devote ample time to your care.
Payment Information
It is important to contact your insurance company and verify your coverage prior to your appointment. Our friendly staff can assist you with any payment-related questions, but cannot speak to your specific vision care plan. In the event that your desired treatment is not covered by your insurance company ( most elective procedures are not covered), we can help with financing options and structured payment plans. Understanding your coverage prior to your appointment will help you make treatment decisions that best suit your individual situation. For example, LASIK laser eye surgery and cataract surgery both may be covered by insurance.
